Octobers casting course was jam packed with so much learning, sharing ideas and having a giggle! We were joined by 3 beautiful baby boys - Coron 2 weeks, Harry 4 months & Arthur 1 year. Having 3 very different ages made for some excellent practice on understanding how best to cast hand and feet, what to look out for at certain ages, and how to work safely. I was so impressed with these ladies, all 3 of them took in so much information and created excellent end results. Here are some photos from our fantastic weekend!

What an absolutely lovely email to receive last week. This came a week after this students One to One course. We had a fantastic weekend of training, and it was so inspiring to hear Sarah's business plans & ambitions. Good luck with everything!
For all information on courses please see www.babycastinguk.co.uk Day 2 of the first ever Baby Moments UK casting course!
After a intensive first day learning how to create perfect moulds the morning of day 2 was extremely exciting to the students, as they good to reveal the results of their hard work the day before. I taught the students how to demould castings properly, and showed them how to work on their absolutely beautiful castings to make them 100% perfect (taking off any blobs or minor air bubbles) to create a professional perfect baby hand & foot casting. After demoulding I taught the student 2 different painting techniques using 2 types of paint, this helped give them inspiration as to how they would like to paint their castings in the future and develop their own styles. Later I then taught them the Baby Moments UK way of permanently mounting them within a frame (developed by myself & my clever dad!) a method used by no other casting company. After a fantastic 2 days of learning the students went home will all the knowledge I had given them, a 13,000 manual (casting bible!) written by myself to help them have something to refer back to, a framed casting, their own casting creations & some materials to get them started. If you'd like to learn how to have your own casting business and learn form my 8 years of experience please get in touch! www.babycastinguk.co.uk Thanks to www.lilylanephotography.co.uk for coming along to the event, photos she took to be revealed soon... Day 1 of the first ever Baby Moments UK casting course!
Set in a beautiful countryside hall, & in earshot of Whipsnade zoo (you can hear the animals squawking & roaring!) the first Baby Moments UK casting course took place. The first evert students that attended were keen to learn this beautiful craft and go home with all the knowledge they needed to start their own business. So the day begun getting straight into learning how to take the perfect moulds of hand & feet, revealing all my secrets and trick as to how to get the best model and the best out of the baby. To help with their practice baby Sullivan (5 months) & Arthur (1 year) came to visit and lend a ‘hand’ (& foot) today as baby models. The students after mastering this skill moved on to learn how to correctly pour plaster into moulds to avoid air bubbles. As well as learning how to take perfect castings of babies, I taught them how to take a mould of 2 adults holding hands, these popular castings are beautiful but tricky to master, but these students did a fantastic job and created 2 beautiful moulds, ready for pouring plaster in using another tried & tested technique I have developed. This was full day of practical learning & understanding materials. It was so brilliant getting to know these ladies & hearing about their new businesses. We were all left excited or DAY 2! www.babycastinguk.co.uk |
